Brazil's First Corn Crop in Southern Brazil 26% Planted

The first corn crop in southern Brazil was 26% planted as of late last week compared to 25% last year according to AgRural. This represents an advance of 7% for the week. Rainfall in southern Brazil has been enough to encourage farmers to actively start planting their first corn crop.
Conab is estimating Brazil's 2024/25 corn production at 119.8 million tons. The USDA is estimating Brazil's 2024/25 corn production at 127.0 million tons.
