Argentina Corn Estimate Unchanged at 50 Million Tons
Author: Michael Cordonnier/Soybean & Corn Advisor, Inc.
The 2024/2025 Argentina corn estimate was left unchanged this week at 50.0 million tons with a neutral bias.
Corn in Argentina was 44% harvested as of late last week, which represents an advance of 3.3% for the week. In several areas of Buenos Aires province, excess soil moisture continues to hinder harvest progress for both early and late planted corn. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange indicated that the persistent water logged conditions could lead to yield reductions.
The nationwide corn yield is now estimated at 7,960 kg/ha (126.5 bu/ac). The early planted corn yields are averaging 8,020 kg/ha (127.5 bu/ac) with the late planted corn averaging 7,520 kg/ha (119.5 bu/ac).
Below is the corn harvest progress in Argentina for June 5, 2025 from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
