Author: Michael Cordonnier/Soybean & Corn Advisor, Inc.
By the end of January, 20-30% of the soybeans in Paraguay had been harvested with above historical average yields being reported. Yields are reported to be in the range of 3,400 to 3,600 kg/ha (50.6 to 53.6 bu/ac). It is possible that Paraguay could set a record yield in 2025/26. The early planted soybeans are expected to produce approximately 9.5 million tons with the safrinha crop producing approximately 1.5 million. Farmers in Paraguay have sold approximately 33.6% of their anticipated production, which is in line with the average for the last three years.
