2022 U.S. Soybean Yield Unchanged at 50.5 bu/ac
Author: Michael Cordonnier/Soybean & Corn Advisor, Inc.
The 2022 U.S. Soybean Yield was left unchanged this week at 50.5 bu/ac and I have a neutral bias going forward.
August is the make-or break month for soybeans and the soybeans in the eastern Corn Belt have benefited from recent rainfall. The weather has not been as beneficial in the western Corn Belt especially in Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
The condition of the 2022 U.S. soybean crop declined 1% last week to 57% rated good/excellent. The soybeans were 97% blooming compared to 97% last year and 97% average. The soybeans were 84% setting pods compared to 87% last year and 86% average. It will be very interesting to see the pod counts from the Pro Farmer crop tour.
